Our dedicated Lunchtime supervisors care for our children during lunch. The supervisors also actively encourage and develop play on the playgrounds. In addition, our older pupils may become play-leaders to support the play of younger children.
Children may bring a packed lunch to school or pay for a hot dinner (all Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 children will be eligible for a free school meal).
We encourage children to drink water throughout the day, but squash or fruit juice may be provided for lunchtimes. Please do not send fizzy or sports drinks to school.
We are striving to be an allergen-aware school. We have pupils in school with significant allergies, some of which could lead to anaphylactic reactions. Due to this, we ask that all families do not send any of the following items into school :
- kiwis (or products that may contain kiwi)
- nuts (or products that may contain nuts)
- chocolate spread - many chocolate spreads contain nuts and there is no way of us checking if the product sent in contains nuts or not. We therefore ask that no chocolate spread or items containing chocolate spread, such as pancakes, are sent in.
Any requests for special dietary requirements (allergies etc) need to be submitted directly to our catering company Stir Food, via the form below.

Booking School Meals
Our new catering provider is Stir Food. To book a school meal, please download the Swift Kitchen app. Each child has a unique code to be able to set the account up within the app. Please contact the school office if you do not have this.
Free school meals
Important changes to Free School Meals (FSM) eligibility will take place from September 2026. The previous arrangements have ended, and many families will need to submit a new application to ensure their child remains eligible.
We encourage all families who received Universal Credit, and those who may qualify under the expanded criteria, to check their eligibility and apply as soon as possible.
Please use the link below for full details and complete the application through West Northamptonshire Council if required.
Families can also seek support if needed by visiting the One Stop Shop, 1 Angel Square, Northampton, NN1 1ED where support will be available to help them complete the application process. They can also email us with any queries to FSM@westnorthants.gov.uk
Snacks
Our youngest children - in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 - are provided with a piece of fruit or vegetable every day. KS2 children are welcome to bring in a piece of fruit of vegetable as a snack at breaktime too.
Milk
A company called “Cool Milk at School” provides milk and FS help themselves to their milk throughout the day. This is supplied at a reduced price and invoices are sent directly to parents. This milk is available free to children under 5, and to those entitled to Free School Meals.
You can obtain the necessary forms from the School Office or visit the CoolMilk Link below.
